The Missouri Council of Teachers of English is an affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of English. MoCTE serves as a vital link between the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and local schools. MoCTE strives to:

Greef Awards

Each year MoCTE recognizes outstanding pre-service teachers from across the state for their exemplary work in a teacher education program.

The winners are recognized at the Write to Learn Conference in February. Greef winners receive a complimentary two year membership to MoCTE.

Write to Learn​

​Every February, MoCTE partners with Write to Learn. This amazing conference features speakers who will appeal to all grade levels. Held at Tan-Tar-A Resort in the Lake of the Ozarks, this is a conference you don’t want to miss.

Scholastic Youth Writing Awards

Every year, students from across the state participate in the Scholastic Youth Writing Competition. Please visit the competition website for more information.

Missouri Teachers Write
